Common misconception, the "Immaculate Conception" does not refer to J.C. it refers to Mary being born without sin. The Christians believe that before Jesus (and Jewish too if I'm correct, though Jesus means nothing to the might of the Torah?) all humans were born carrying sin, however Mary was born without sin by God's decree so that she could bear the son of God. I think I have that right, I'm not Christian I just was reading up on it recently.
